UAE: Saudi coalition command in Aden "positive development in favor of stability":

UAE, the second largest Arab coalition force, said Sunday that Saudi Arabia's handover of command to the Arab coalition in the southern Province of Aden is a positive development in favor of stability.

The UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anwar Gergash, tweeted about the Arab alliance's statement that Saudi Arabia had taken over the leadership of the coalition in Aden.

"The Saudi leadership of the coalition forces in Aden is a positive development in favor of stability, unity of priorities and mobilization of efforts," he said.

"We are confident that the achievements achieved in good hands ... and the UAE continues to work with the Kingdom for a better future for Yemen and its brotherly people," he said.

"The coalition's statement on the position and redeployment of forces in Aden is the result of good Saudi efforts," he said.

He added that "the political tools of the alliance are complementary to its military capability and we proceed together confidently in unifying and strengthening the ranks, and the UAE will remain supportive and a sister of the kingdom for the benefit of brotherly Yemen and achieve the goals of the alliance."
